Being a Direct Marketing Manager and Expert meant that I served as an organization-wide subject matter specialist for all my company's marketing activities. During my eighteen years in the industry I represented companies such as retail, entertainment, and non-profit organizations and I presented numerous products such as jewelry, fashion, and medical instruments. I also hired, trained, and managed teams of Marketing Specialists at multiple locations.
To attract sales I directly approached clients to discuss the company's services and/or product(s). I created, developed, organized, and managed my own advertisements and demonstrations. I used a variety of pitch techniques to optimize sales to small and/or large audiences. I trained Marketing Specialists pertaining to pitch implementation and marketing techniques as well as demonstrations and display setup.
I traveled for extended periods of time attending exhibitions/events in several states along the West Coast of the United States. I also built relationships with peers to create potential networks for future revenue. I established credibility, I understood customer's needs, I conveyed the value of the product and/or company, and I secured a commitment to move the sale to the next level. I did this in a fast paced environment and within a limited period of time.
